Valentine's Day.

(5)
I visited some of my old friends today. I brought candy and flowers. This is the second time I have done that. It has become an annual 'event.' I would have loved to present those lovely girls with some tabs of LSD, but I had none of that glorious magic stuff, so I settled for roses.
I got rewarded with a very nice sensual hug!

Acid Music Extrordinaire.

(4)
Sipping on beer #10 at 2232. Sip. I failed to provide you with a link to Beethoven's Sixth Symphony last week, so here it is. The music is very close if not identical to the version I was using back in the late '70s. Enjoy!
Now what? Hmm... As I listen to the music I become more and more convinced that this is the same version! OMG! Who did this? Gerash? Only he would know this; I can only 'suspect.' But I've listened to several versions recently and this one fits, note for note! I long ago lost the particular plastic recording, but I am now convinced that this version is the same version!
What to say about Gerash? I'll save that for next week. Next week I will describe Gerash as a 'Biological Machine.' Maybe.
Maybe not.
We shall see.
Gerash was important in my life. Good and Evil often coexist, unknowingly, unwittingly. Gerash intended to do evil (to me) but actually did some good, unknowingly. Gerash Whfucked up. (There is now no question: this is exactly the same version I listened to at 7152 S. Franklin st. back in 1978 as I did my Acid Trips!). What evil did Gerash do to the rest of my family? Only he knows. I don't know. Kootch has no clue. I am afraid to bring up that subject with her because I don't want to (possibly) destroy her.
The music is as beautiful as I remember it! We are now in the 3rd Movement... and I have determined that the symphony is in five movements! I was not sure of that! Beautiful! The last movement at 2341. Sip. Buzzing appropriately. Sip. I would sometimes turn the record over in the last stages of my Acid Trip and listen to the beautiful last movement...

Oops.

(3)
I've been thinking recently about how Technology will be affecting human culture in the near future. I refer, of course, to The Rise of The Robots. Robots are replacing Human Beings in The Workforce, and 'jobs' are dwindling in number as a result of those robots. True, Human workers are needed to create and repair robots, but the long-term implications suggest that jobs for humans will become more and more scarce. Fewer and fewer humans will be able to find jobs as the robots take over. The 'middle class' will mostly disappear as the world becomes more and more dependent on robots. What to do about that? And furthermore, why should I care?
I don't care, actually, but I can't help thinking about it from time to time because it's such fun!
I imagine that as robots 'take over' Humanity's everyday chores, Humanity will devolve/evolve, becoming less muscular and more cerebral. Muscles will shrink as the need for movent declines. Heads will swell as the need for knowlege and pleasure increases. Brains will need room to grow. More and more of body weight will become 'brain weight.' Limbs will wither over time as personal robots come to the aid of needy human brains. Eventually, Humanity will become a collection of 1,000,000 human brains in 100,000 'brain tanks,' all attended to by ignorant robots - each and every human brain experiencing only a continuous stunning orgasm and nothing else.
And then The Aliens arrive. They study the Civilation in great detail. Then they turn off the electricity.
Oops.
But what a way to live! What a way to die!

Set and Setting: The importance thereof.

(2)
Sipping on beer #5 at 1944. Sip. Buzzing quite nicely!
'Set and Setting' are extremely important to those contemplating doing Acid. 'Set' means the 'mindset' of the prospective Acid imbiber. Only 'normal people' should do Acid. If you suffer from 'mental problems' you should probably not do Acid. On the other hand, some 'mental problems' are significantly improved by Acid! The 'anxiety of approaching death' is often well-treated by doing an Acid Trip within an appropriate psychological environment. Alcoholism can also be effectively treated by doing Acid within such an anvironment. Criminals have been treated with amazing success using Acid! Used properly, Acid can be an extremely effective treatment for certain mental problems. Indeed, I can personally attest to the efficacy of Acid as a treatment for the disease of normalcy!
What is 'normalcy?' Good question:
'Normalcy' is the conviction that your are only a Cog in The Economic Machine. Acid will show you that you are much more than that and also much less. You are a spectrum, not a dot. You can't be 'concentrated' into some sort of 'singular mass.' Acid is so, so 21st Century! Do it if you can.
But wait!
'Setting' is also important. You should never do Acid alone. You need friendly human contact when doing Acid. Do Acid with friends and family only.

The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test.

(1)
Hello again (tap). I decided not to blog last Friday because of severe sleep deprivation. I wondered also about how much the weekly booze nights added to my debilitated mental condition. So, last Friday was a no blog/no booze 'test' night. The result was interesting: less intense nighttime microwave attacks all week, allowing me to sleep longer. This, combined with no hangover effect to deal with, led to a pretty good week playing a lot of C-III.
Back from the fridge with beer #2 at 1754, buzzing slightly. Sip. Time to reread last blog... Ah yes, LSD again. Shall we continue? Yes we shall.

The kids seemed relatively unaffected by those 'experiments.' They thought of them as 'illicit family fun.' I later concluded that 'LSD is wasted on the young.'
Adults, on the other hand, can be deeply affected by LSD. In my case, Acid deepened insight and introspection. I could clearly see my 'egocentricity' regarding playing Chess and being a Pilot. Another plus, was that it increased my interest in Epistemology and philosophy in general. (Sipping on beer #3 at 1825, buzzing slightly.) I began reading more, eventually discovering writers like Ouspensky, Rajneesh, Castaneda, Watts, and many others. I read a lot and learned a lot. Meanwhile, the stalker Gerash was at work undermining the more 'economic' aspects of my life, but I would not discover him for another 24 years or so, in about 1992. Colorado discovered 'stalking' a few years after that and made it against the law. Eheh.
The lesson here is that LSD can change you. For better? For worse? Both possibilities seem possible. In my case it made for a 'better human being.' From what I have gathered about 'results' in that regard, LSD changes most people for the better, through increased insight and self-knowlege. The people who are most likely to be significiently changed by LSD are those over about 40 years old and who are well educated. The young and the ignorant might have lots of 'strange fun' doing Acid, but they seem unlikely to be deeply affected by the experience.
But come to think of it, The Hippies were pretty young... Hmm! Oops. Sipping on beer #5 at 1940. Sip.

The Dawn of the Entheogenic Age.

(5)
Which brings us to an idea I recently had which I will call 'The Entheogenic Age.' It seemed to me at the time I was cogitating on the subject that mankind had arrived at the next phase of religious awareness, and that that 'phase' could be described as 'The Entheogenic Age.' Science had obviously precipitated humanity's arrival in that regard: LSD and other 'Entheogens' were quickly accepted and 'explained' as 'Entheogenic.' Mother Nature's various 'contributions' in that regard (Psilocybin and Mescaline, for example) were included as 'fundamental, and 'artificial products' (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide and MDMA) were defined as Human Scientific contributions to an essentially natural product.
But Science saw 'Religion' as a scam. And religion was indeed a scam in some sense. And that scam persists to the present day.
But what I call, 'The Entheogenic Age,' is now in progress: Scientific Knowlege enhances 'religion.' And Religion is important in understanding the overall totality of Human Existence.
And the resulting forward momentum provides us with a direction.

The Magical Life.

(4)
The Third Movement of Beethoven's 6th Symphony begins pleasantly enough, but soon becomes quite violent. 'Violence' does not go well with LSD. Love goes well with LSD, and Beauty goes well with LSD, but Violence is antithetical to LSD. (Do you really want to 'Civilize Chicago?' Really? Legalize Marijuana and LSD. Chicago will then 'Civilize itself.' Prove me wrong if you can! Oh, and don't forget to outlaw Infant Sexual Mutilation. 'Civilization' needs the substrate of 'sensuality' in order to evolve peacefully. LSD helps immensely.)
The 4th Movement is where I begin to love Beethoven again. I'm listening to it now at 2010. Sip. Beautiful. Sip. And it finished just now as I sip on beer #8. Sip.
----------
'Peaking' on LSD can be quite relative depending on how much Acid you have imbibed (Don't worry: nobody has ever died from an LSD overdose). If you have done too little Acid, you might possibly be disappointed that you did not do more Acid at the beginning. If, on the other hand, you have imbibed too much Acid, you will experience 'the Acid Death' which is the total disruption of your brain's cortex-tual ability. You will 'die.' I've 'been there and done that.' It is a very unpleasant experience. You will remember nothing about it except that it was extremely unpleasant, and you don't want to do it again. 'Time' will disappear. You will live in Chaos. Nothing will make any sense. Nothing!
You will eventually begin to recover, and that is the point where your memory begins to function again.
You will slowly begin to 'reassemble.'
LSD has 'disassembled you.' You have 'peaked' and now you are beginning to reassemble. You are now on the 'path to recovery.'
It is at this point that the true magic of LSD begins: You watch!
As the drug wears off, your various human attributes return, and you watch that process with amazement. 'I am a God!' 'I AM GOD!'
----------
Yes you are.

Our Colorful World.

(3)
This was a fun time, communally. Things were getting 'strange' and we all enjoyed being together during that phase. I remember once that our Austrian Shepard, BB, got our attention and we all got down on all fours and interacted with BB, who must have been delighted, but much mystified.
The 'buzz' became louder and louder and eventually we lost all 'social skills.' At that point, Kootch and the kids went into the FR and watched TV, while I went into the LR and listened to music through earphones connected to my record player/amplifier system. The music was always Beethoven's symphony #6. As the subtler aspects of human behavior became overwhelmed by the Acid, the more solid and reliable 'sense aspects' (sight and sound) remained fairly intact, but altered. The music was nothing less than sublime, and the entoptical phenomenon was totally spectacular, often 'performing' visual effects to the music. It was a kind of 'synthesia.' The 'streaming entoptical color' was the most beautiful thing I have ever 'seen.' It was like a river of color, flowing and changing with the music. The beginning of the second movement was always the high point of the auditory/entoptical experience: a glorious 'blossoming of color.' Listening to it just now it seems to be a much 'softer' sound than that glorious burst of color would suggest, but I remember very clearly that at that point there was an unforgetable explosion of color.
I tell you this, folks - and I speak with authority: You have not really 'seen color' until you have done LSD. Indeed, 'color appreciation' became a part of my life and has never left me. The world is still so very colorful! Do LSD!
Do it!

LSD Trip: The Beginning is Amusing...

(2)
Continuing with the Link Dump, I found some interesting stuff on the subject of 'Psychedelics' recently after replaying, LSD Girl:
----------
1950s Housewife on Acid. I love this! I read Sidney Cohen's book, The Beyond Within, back in the early '80s, I think. Or, possibly I read it (tap) before we did our first LSD trip in 1978. I remember doing some research on the subject prior to our first 'trip' and this may have been one of the books I read. (Kootch hit the sack at 1730 and I am now buzzing nicely at 1738. I asked her today why she never did Acid with the rest of us, and she replied that she just wasn't interested. Strange. If she had ever wanted to 'do it' I would have gladly done the 'babysitting.' But she never expressed an interest even after having 'babysat' us through many (ten-plus) trips. (By 'us' I mean me, our two daughters Kathy and Jennifer, and Mark, Kathy's husband, and our drug supplier, and primary agent/infiltrator for Walter Gerash, Stalker.)

LSD Trip. Interesting, but a total fraud. LSD is not like that. 'Bath Salts,' perhaps? I love describing my Acid Trips, so here we go again:
I usually 'dropped Acid' on an empty stomach in the early afternoon after subsisting on Diet Pepsi. Within 30 minutes I began feeling the initial effects, a 'vague apprehension.' I would often feel the need to take a deep breath. (Something was wrong, but what?) The buzz began at about 40 minutes as the apprehension disappeared. It was much like a booze buzz at first. I liked it! It was a very sensual feeling. I would always go into the bedroom and slip into my favorite pink nylon panties at that point. Very sensual, but in no way was it ever 'erotic.' (Sex was never appealing to me during an LSD Trip. Eroticism and sensuality are not necessarilly connected with me. They are different things but they definitely go quite well together.)
The buzz got 'louder' and 'louder' as time went on, eventually becoming so 'loud' that it 'drowned out' all ordinary thoughts and sensations.
(Continued in the next post...)

The Jewish Version.

(1)
Sipping on beer #1 at 1400. Sip. Heavy microwave radiation kept me from getting enough sleep last night, and an attempt at a nap from 1315 -1530 failed just now due to the same phenomenon. Oh well. Sip. We plod on...
As I was writing this, I noticed depack Chopra on Katy Couric and Pen an Teller on Dr Oz. Interesting. I'm TiVoing This Oz show hoping that one of the subjects is Infant Sexual Mutilation. Eheh.
End of beer #1 at 1613. Slight buzz. Sipping on beer #2 at 1618. Time to reread last week. Argh. Standby... Yep. That really went downhill, didn't it. And I made some promises which I'll put off for now. I must say, though, that I like my 'origin myth' much better than the jewish version. There's more love in it.
Here are some interesting links which I've been working on recently for tonight's blog:
----------
Surprising reasons you're not having sex. What I found interesting about this article is that it failed to mention the (to me) most obvious reason: Circumcision. Circumcision not only causes severe loss of sensation in the male, it also causes a much less pleasant experience in the female. (But Dr. Oz loves it! Sock it to him, Penn and Teller!) I classify this interesting article in the category, 'Jewish Propaganda.' There's a lot of that. Really. (Leslie Goldman, the author, sounds highly 'Jewish.') By the way, I recently asked Kootch whether she remembered our one and only experiment with a condom. She replied that the only thing she remembered was my comment after is was over: 'That was like taking a shower with a raincoat on.' Then I also remembered the comment. Memory is interesting.
Opra Criticized for endorsing face cream made from foreskins. Yeesh. I used to watch Okra many years ago, but her silence concerning infant sexual mutilation turned me off permanently. Thumbs down on you, Okra.
