Drip... drip... drip...

(3)
Whew. Back from the fridge with beer #5 at 1625. While in the kitchen I couldn't help but notice the dripping sink fawcett. It drips at about 60 drips per second. Each drip makes a loud noise (for a drip) because the spout is unusually high, allowing each drip to reach unusually high speeds before it splats on the silver-grey sink floor. Here's the 'backstory:'
----------
About ten years ago Kootch bought a new fawcett for both the kitchen and the bathroom. She expected that I would do the work of replacing both old fawcetts. Wrong. I was a fragile 67 years old and in no mood to become involved in the extreme physical poses it would take to do the job. I suggested a plumber. Kootch decided to wait a while. Then, about two years ago she finally got me to call a plumber to replace those two fawcetts. The cost was 700 plus dollars - a bit high in my estimation. Kootch paid. We both liked the high spout in the kitchen sink because it was so... high. It allowed for all kinds of maneuvering in the descending water stream... hands... dishes... whatever. Only one problem: when the hot water was turned on, the new fawcett moaned loudly. Moaned continuously. Argh.
We got used to it. 'Cheap fawcett.'
