Deadly Medicine.

(2)
4-20 Day is a really good excuse to blog about the general subject of 'Drugs.' Sip. And since I'm a 'relative expert' on the subject of 'drugs in general' - not to mention 'drunk as a skunk' as I begin beer #6 - I'm inclined to do a bit of philosophising concerning why 'drugs' are such an issue at the beginning of the 21st Century. So first we need to define the term, 'Drug.'
Whew! That was quite a chore! Sip.
The next step, it seems to me, is to divide 'drugs' into two categories: Legal Drugs, and Illegal Drugs. Whew! That was onerous! I'm not sure I can handle this subject in my drunken state! But I will press on... Sip... Beginning beer #7 at 7:11. (Really.)
The average unconscious citizen might be inclined to judge - at this point - that the terms 'legal' and 'illegal' equate with the terms 'good' and 'bad.' Well, maybe' (to quote Carl Sagan in Cosmos).
But a Goggle search of 'Good Drugs vs Bad Drugs' brings us to a Non-Wiki result. Argh! Carl Sagan smoked Marijuana! How can Marijuana be all that bad?! Hmm.
OK, maybe we should be thinking in terms of 'Addictive vs non-addictive' instead of 'legal vs illegal' or 'good vs bad.'
So hows about 'Substance Dependence.' Ha! (sip)
(Whew. This is work, folks.)
Notice that Cannabis, LSD, and Ecstacy are at the very bottom of the list in terms of addictive potential.
Notice that many legal drugs are extremely addictive.
Notice also that some legal drugs are DEADLY.
And don't fail to notice that Big Pharma is Big Business. Unregulated Big Business! Sound familiar?
