Higher Consciousness

I don't know what to think of this. The interesting aspect of these stories is that our pets have a powerful influence on our day-to-day lives. Pets always tell the truth. Pets are incapable of deception. This must be why we love our pets so much. This must be why we thrive in the presence of our pets, and why our pets thrive in our presence. We love the truth and we hate the lie and this consideration never enters our thinking in the presence of a pet. We take our pets at face value. Our pets take us at face value, never realizing the esoteric concepts with which we struggle.
The Lie is an alien idea. It is a new idea. It is a recent significant idea. Previous ideas were friendly ideas which tended to nurture the status quo. The lie prospers in a small way, among us. But 'The Lie' represents a significant advance, evolutionwise, in that it is the product of a higher consciousness. The ability to lie is a milestone in evolution. That ability upturns the previous status quo, forcing life to reconsider the future. 'Huh!?'
I contend that the emergence of the human ability to lie represents a biological advance which fostered the existence of modern society: We lie because we can (animals can't lie). Furthermore this new ability fits well with the modern complex human idea of...
